Just changed mine XL - TV XL - Phone L - Broadband (10Mb) Installing a V+ box (£75) Moving old box into kids playroom £45.50 As I upgraded Broadband they also sent a free wireless router and as I'm having V+ they are not charging to install the old box in a new room. All this of course after choosing the 'I want to leave' option not the 'I want to upgrade' option on the phone to them....
I was getting XL TV (with Setanta etc) , weekend phone calls, and 2 MB Broadband for £30.50. They upped my price last week. Phoned up and asked why it had to gone upto near on £50. She said cos it was the contract that had run out, and also some calls on top and a some extra for the month. Said it would now be £40.50 per month. Told them that i was not happy and would not pay that and was going to call Sky Phoned Sky up and could get 2MB Broadband, free evening and weekend calls and all the tv packages (except sports/movies) for £22 (£11 BT phone line on top) £33 in, and also offered me Sky+ for £49. Phoned Virgin back up told em what Sky had offered and said that they could do me the normal package, but with unlimited calls for £30 a month and V+ for £50. Looking at it SKy is a very good offer and probably better than Virgin but we been with Virgin bout 18 months and cannot complain 1 bit I would ring Virgin and tell them what Sky have offered me and see what they say
