    Been good for me too

really impressed with the On Demand, internet and the prices are great.

I've only had one problem when things stopped working and they came round the next morning, turned out i had a weak signal.

When something went wrong with Sky they used to demand £80

    Started with NTL...

They came round to fit our flat with all the digital stuff but realised that they couldn't reach their equipment around as ours is at the back... so the bloke left and that was it... or so we thought.

Two weeks later a direct debit left my housemate's account to NTL despite us never having had a service of them... so he got it recalled by his bank. A while later he received a letter from them telling him he had a balance to pay... He rang them, clarified it all, so they agreed he didn't owe anything.

    Then another gap in time...

Some time later... he gets a letter from a debt recovery company threatening sending 'collection agents' round... so called Virgin... they apologised and said it wouldn't happen again.

A month later, gets a stronger letter from the debt recovery company... so rings Virgin AGAIN... this time they send him a letter to confirm he owed nothing and that they would take anything off his credit file...

    THE END...

    Or so we thought...

Today he received a litigation letter from the same company threatening him with court (even though we all know no company's going to take someone to court for £31...)

So in summary... SIX MONTHS after having received NO SERVICE.... after spending tens of pounds on the phone to them on his mobile on numerous calls... he's still being threatened with legal action.

I shall be ensuring that he screws them... if his credit file's been affected - defamation of character... numerous wasted phone calls, threatening letters etc etc... time to go to OFCOM, media etc... oh what fun awaits.

The best option would be to see them in court and completely take the p!ss out of them... unfortunately I know it won't go that far.

    Muppets.

    And that's being polite.

RE: Been good for me too

Had a Telewest box in bedroom when we had broadband fitted - pile of *****, kept freezing, had it replaced 5 times. Just as well it wasn't the main TV.
Not had a problem with their broadband though.

Had Sky in various guises since 1992, only issues I've had I've been able to resolve with a local TV engineer, mainly dish realignment.
Old digital box was ready for packing in but was looking to upgrade to Sky+ anyway.

Sky for me for the telly.
