VIRUS / FIREWALL / SPYWARE USELESS

why even when you have all the precautionary measures in place do you still seem to get infected with viruses / spyware.

I have:-

Antivirus - Norton 2005
Firewall - ZoneAlarm
Spyware - Webroot sweeper

Anyone immune to all this? if so what are you using?

I use the free microsoft antispyware package - can't remember what it's called or where it's from but have been spyware free for months. It also auto updates on its own at night without me having to do anything. Roundsman put the link on here originally.

 

The Microsoft one will only run on Windows 2000 / XP:

Anti-virus - AVG Free edition

Firewall - Zone Alarm

Anti-Spyware - Spyware Blaster

plus, Ad-Aware SE

Touch wood, these keep my system clear, but nothing can be 100% foolproof.

computer boff at work told me that one, he subscribes to it and he repairs the 100s of compters we have at work!
I have Norton and loads have told me its crap!so Im going for webroot (Y)

 

Say no more. Norton...ugh!!!
