"Vital" Tyke - no offence but it's a bit of a misnomer, surely

Please don't take offence at this as it's a genuine expression of interest.

The Vital Football site looks pretty well put together and all that, but it seems anything but vital. The forum side of things is well covered here and, whichever incarnation of the BBS has been used at the time there's only ever really been one regularly used one with moves precipitated by factors other than just a new one being set up. The news is always going to be second hand and again relects stories that are reported here at least as quickly, are available on the official site and/or picked up on a 5 minute basis by NewsNow. So what's the unique selling point?

Sell it to me - why should I put it in my favourites?

...contributing to Totaltykes and running the Barnsley page on Fans FC for a while, I just enjoyed doing it. I always wanted to be a journalist but never pursued it and I suppose it felt like I was realising that ambition in a small way. Don't knock people who spend a lot of their spare time producing something.

I'm not trying to knock him

I specifically tried to show I thought he was doing a good job, it just seems that there are a number of such sites and I was wondering what his particular angle was - what he thought the site could add to the presence of BFC on the web. If, like you, he just enjoys doing it then great - there's no other reason needed. If he's trying to make a living out of it then I'd be interested in what his angle is in order to support his efforts.
