Big match tonight. They cannot afford to slip up against bottom of the league. Northants losing at home to Birmingham last night after getting well over 200 was a shock.

It looks pretty nailed on that a loss tonight is curtains for us.
    Much too inconsistency.

Top of the north group could get a lot tighter today. Lancs without Salt, Jennings, Vilas Livingstone and Buttler (though Buttler plays about the same amount of county cricket as Bairstow - none). Could be a couple of points separating the top six by the end of tonight's games.

But it is pretty much must win for Yorks this evening.

And after tonight’s game, all remaining fixtures are against teams currently above us so all we got to do is win …. Simple

Don't see why we couldn't/wouldn't bring Willey Rashid and Mallan back into the squad. ?

Malan and Rashid have central contracts, so would have to be released by England

Because the ECB mandate that the poor little lambs must have today off resting after their arduous week and one hour flight back from the traumatising hell-hole that is modern day Holland :D

Forecast for rain pretty much constantly from 6pm onwards in Worcester - it'd serve Yorkshire right really given performances so far. They are where they deserve to be in the table - they've only won one game against the teams above them in the table.

Yorkshire win the toss and will field first. Worcs have acquired Colin Munro and Dwayne Bravo since we played them at Headingley.

Better to chase if weather is dodgy. As we saw the other day with the DL slog we lost.

The three that were in Holland yesterday should have been playing. They won't be tired or jet lagged.

Pitch is very green too - almost indistinguishable from the outfield!

I'm guessing that's the 1st time this strip has been played on.

You'd think so - they might even use a lawnmower on it tomorrow!
