We get two MoM awards as such with us - one is a text vote for the fans MoM, the other is awarded by the match sponsors.

On saturday against QPR, the announcer came on with 5 mins to go saying you still had time to vote. You were in one of two camps - you either booed or, like the majority, laughed like drains at the thought of a MoM.

The match sponsors (and previous kit sponsors btw) refused point-blank to award a MoM. They instead gave the bottle of champagne to Steve McPhail because his missus gave birth last week - the only way he's getting the bubbly.

Can't think of that ever happening before. Anywhere. It was that bad :'(

How much does a text vote cost?

Not sure, don't do it myself - but think it's around 25p. All to a good cause no doubt :D

There be a percentage for the silver fox.

We`ve had quite a few games in recent times when the stadium announcer gave out the MOM and the crowd either laughed or groaned. But we were consistent.

The way we do it is one of the sponsors phones a friend not at the match and asks them to pick a number

The player whose number is picked gets the vinegar
