Firstly - how unbelievably poor Hull were. The most clueless side I've seen all season, and that includes us. And now onto us. Mattis doesn't play and our midfield holds the ball up, plays some great passes, gets the ball through to our two forwards. TAKE NOTE SIMON DAVEY - YOUR BOY ISNT UP TO IT. Colgan injured presumably? Our money was on him being sent into the naughty corner with Kay and Hayes. Nyatanga - did kick the ball into touch one or twice when he might have done better, but overall he was solid enough and I would have his name on team sheet every week. Hecky and Hassell, looked pretty composed throughout. Even Reid had a relatively good game although none of them had anything particularly testing to do. Lucas calmed down after 10 mins and after that he even came off his line - take note Colgan!!!! Howard - must have got a slap at half time for playing the first half in the middle as he went back out wide and tormented their defence. Togwell and McCann kept control of the middle of the park, Devaney was by FAR the best player we had - not only giving their left back utter grief all night, but also tracking back and sticking the foot in in defence. Couldn't fault him. And as for Pete and Steve - WEYHEY!!!! Finally! Two strikers who can score. Give them a through pass and bang - back of the net. Both have great workrates too, although we need to stop them tracking back too far as tonight they could have had a bagful. Can't fault them for anything tonight - 5-0 would have been fair to Hull the way they were playing. Finally - how much of tonight's victory was down to Davey? I don't really think much to be honest. If Mattis hadn't been ill he'd have played - and sorry but if Davey thinks he should start the lad at Stoke instead of playing the team he did tonight then I will shake my head in disbelief. Not sure what was going on with Radio Sheffield either? Heard there was no commentary and on way home I heard they'd been banned from talking to anyone at the club. Sheps ego again?
davey signed the strikers yet u still slag him off .............. fan .........................my ass
Colgan - injury or illness... looked v uncomfortable end of 1st half There was def something (physical) up with Colgan - flu/ injury? If we'd let the radio in, we'd know, but maybe BFC thinks it's better if the conspiracies start.
was it Davey? Or the scouting team? Perhaps you'd like to tell me when Davey was in Hungary? Dates, times, flight numbers? or perhaps you'd like to STFU. Thanks.
Thank God you managed a negative. How do you know what Davey would have done if Mattis had been fit!!?? Give the guy a break FFS!!!
Devaney - Best player... you must be off you're head. 11th best player, only including the starting 11.
moose , you cant have it both ways he picked em they scored what more ?? read your post & get a life you miserable prat ! READ your post its so pathetic its sad .
He'll have been given the reports then decided . It's that usually how it works . That's what the scouting team does - all the travelling so the boss doesn't have to
How much of that victory was down to Davey Well let's see.
He brought Nyatanga in to bolster the defence. Looked solid as a rock.
McCann had a good game, as did the other 3 midfielders. For the first time in a while it looked a balanced setup.
Pete & Steve - so who signed them then?
I'd put quite a bit of it down to Davey. OK, so he seems (on showings so far) to have wasted the same amount on Mattis as the God that is Ritchie wasted on Tommy Wright but hey, nobody's perfect. Still, Hull were poor. If we were persisting with starting Richards and Hayes they would have had a hat trick each at least. Good player that Richards - scored two beauties away at Forest, don't forget.

I don't give a monkey's who signed them both They should be nailed into the starting line up for the rest of the season. But I'm sorry but ALL the inside stories coming out of the club do NOT paint a good picture about Davey, whether you like him or not. Anyhow - if we'd lost 3-0 tonight you'd have been on here slagging the arse off him like everyone else would have.
