We still need to do a lot of business so hopefully I haven't spoken too soon (!), but so far so good, being patient and sticking to our targets appears to be paying off :)

We've brought in two young players, both coming in on the back of good seasons. Few of us have seen these two play or have even heard of them prior to now, but the intentions look very good and as stated the club is building a young team, which is a breath of fresh air imo.

    Same here

Obviously few of us have seen the two signings and you never quite know what you're getting til you see them and they've bedded in.

But i like the description of the players. Pace and mobility up front (good god, how we need that!) and a midfielder that we're told can do a bit of everything rather than midfielders who can either attack or defend but not both.

If we can get a full back (or two) with pace and a natural defensive awareness even if they are a bit raw, and an experienced head who can keep the ball moving i think we're getting a pretty decent base together.

I don't think we've been playing a waiting game. I think we've been busy trying to recruit from the minute last season ended. We've been making clubs, players and agents aware of who we are interested in, but these things take time, holidays are taken, options are weighed up and it's not until we get towards then end of June and in to July and August that deals are finalised.

There's been no lack of urgency or activity from the club, just a lack of patience from some of our supporters. It'll be the same again next season. And the next. And the next.

    Indeed

    I'm buzzing already

Think Jay is right though, targets will have been identified long before nail in smogland coffin

    Nah, get excited.

We knew they were all unfit panic buys

These young guns will hopefully emulate the calibre of players Soton and Norwich signed when they bombed into league 1

I'm excited by these lads pedigree, young, hungry, proven at a lower level

    Let's do this

Hourihane and Hemmings are 2 very different players to Woods and Lawrence though, then again, the less said about Frimpong, the better

The summer can be a frustrating time for us football fans. The few on here who started moaning where being daft. It's always the end of June when the market starts to pick up... Ben has a few critics but I like the guy and think he'll do a good job in the role he's got.

Friend of mine is a Plymouth fan and he's gutted we've signed Hourihane - says he's a great player
