Wakey's new stadium plans, which were key to them getting a Super League licence, have collapsed. Might have to ground-share; Oakwell is an option, I'm hearing.

    I would hope not

Playing rugby seriously fcuks the pitch up and I don't want to watch us play football on a ploughed field. If the current trend of increased rainfall continues, which Global Warming experts predict will actually get worse, then it will be almost impossible to see a decent game of football at Oakwell if we allow rugby to be played on it. No amount of money is worth that.

So, Wakefield Council have just forked out a few million to site the new college campuses because wakey trinity were moving to thornes & now they are not. BRILLIANT.

I have to move college for those card carriers.

rugby is now a summer game, its no longer played on muddy pitches in the lashing rain.

how on earth would rugny ruin the rock hard pitch during our red hot summer months

The peanut huggers should be told to get to ****, irrespective of the financial benefits on offer to BFC.

Keep your tedious sport within the wastelands of West Yorkshire, where it verily belongs.

    Thankyou kindly.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

I'm up for that. At least we'll see a lot more points scored before going to pieces with fifteen minutes to go and losing woefully.

    Harsh.

Some of my fondest memories as a kid in the 70's - Oakwell on a setdi, Belle Vue Sunday. Sometimes the teams were even playing at home! Seriously, some good lads from Agbrigg did both; used to travel with 'em on the Specials.

Sound, lets have some Rugby League down Oakwell way, BFC should be pressing for this to happen i reckon....

Extra capital for the club (''Pay Howard what hes worth out of the proceeds'') plus them what wants to see some real competition / and passion on a regular basis down Oakwell way will get to see just that....

    Bring it on....
