walking from town to oakwell

    come over the hill on belgrave street .... there in all its glory .. oakwell . the slightly rusting roof of the west stand , red seats of the east and north poking over the top . red painted walls everywhere leading you round to the ponty ... over the horizon a grassed over muck stack form years gone by....

    heaven..... oh to be a barnsley fan...

    Bus from Darfield

    Bus goes over the top of Ardsley hill, you can still see Oakwell over the new houses. Looks really good because you're looking at the East Stand and Ponty End, very impressive and you can just about read "Barnsley Football Club" on the side.
