A bad thing. One thing is for certain from Saturday, he needs games. Looked a bit of the pace in the first half but settled in when it slowed down in the second half. I still think he is exactly what we need. Tough in the tackle, can put his foot on the ball and provides cover for the back four.
arrived with 4 yellows Shame - he's the sort of midfielder who had the potential to boss round the Leeds players and unsettle them.

He has got boo-boy written all over him. Whilst we are in need of a clogger in the middle of the park , its useful if they have the ability to pass the ball to a team-mate.
RE: He has got boo-boy written all over him. He had a very poor first half. I suspect it was more to do with his fitness and/or being pressed by Ipswich's midfield. He showed glimpses of ability in the last half an hour and going on the reports of many Baggies fans he should come good. Would like to see some quality next to him though....Howard?
Once Howard is back to fitness I would play him, Togwell and Wallwork offered us next to nothing going forwards.</p>
RE: Once Howard is back to fitness I would play him, Agreed. The lack of width was evident as well, though I suspect that was a tactical move. The back four suddenly looked at ease with cover from midfield and playing a higher line. The midfield just needed a bit of creativity and Howard is the obvious choice. Togwell would be a bit unlucky to miss out but it's either him or Wallwork for me...not both. I'd also play Richards alongside Knight. No point in playing direct football without a target man. Knight looked twice the player with a target alongside him.
