Me neither and in any case the odds of 9-1 look quite poor to me. if I was a neutral and looked at the form of the sides recently and the fact that never has a 3 goal deficit been turned around in any playoff semi final Id say realistic odds were more like 20-1 - but even at those odds I wouldn't bet against us Some people have their breakfasts quite late!
But we aren't going to die are we? It's not a war it's a game of football. I would happily pay £30 to see Barnsley win. The fallback of 270 quid profit is a bonus ffs.
Each to his own - to me it would feel like dirty money. Illogical I know Anyway I hope you are £30 down by 10pm tomorrow
He hopes so too. That's the point. It's trying to make the outcome you don't want not happen. I've never won anything substantial, so the theory is there's no way I'm going to be allowed to win that much. I did it in 2009 when there was an outside chance of Barnsley going down in the final game. I put £50 on them to be relegated at 14/1 before the game at Plymouth. I'm also going to deprive myself of watching Thursday's game, because I'd rather say "I wish I'd watched it now". Mental, I know, but it's the superstitious way some of us think.
I've been backing Isgrove to score the first goal for several weeks now. He was 11-1 on Saturday and we all know what happened. When we drew with Colchester a couple of weeks before I was in Pickering, and had the first 7 results correct in an 8-result accumulator. Then Colchester equalised! Given my luck I guess I definitely ought to have a bet on Walsall going through!
what if its 3-0 walsall at 90 mins - so 3-3 then it goes to extra time and walsall win extra time 1-0. Thas lost 30 quid and we dont go up! Just sayin... Hopefully we dont see any of this and we grind out a boring 0-0 draw.
