Says he fully expects Bradshaw and Mantom to be at Barnsley next season, their fans claim he's very much in the know with this kind of stuff.

If that was to be true I would be absolutely over the moon with our summer recruits so far.

Why? Although I like both Mantom and Bradshaw, we'll have signed two players from a side we've just hammered 6-1 and one from one of the worst teams ive seen in years in Moncur.

Well in that case how on earth did John Stones move to everton and make the impact he did when he was playing for us? That squad we had then was absolute dross.

John Stones was a Barnsley player, in a Barnsley team that were awful. John Stones signed for Everton, a much better team, and did very well.

Bradshaw/Mantom are Walsall players, in a Walsall team that are awful (except they're not). Bradshaw/Mantom sign for Barnsley, a much better team (debatable), and do very well.

    Hardly rocket science is it.

Really? Surely it's simple. Players are sometimes better than the team they play for.

Stones played for us when we were ****.
Mantom and Bradshaw play for Wallsall - a team not as good as ours but doesn't detract from their quality as players
Moncur, despite playing for a terrible team (defensively) was superb in his role and was perhaps the one standout player that carried the team.

Walsall finished 3rd, 14 points above us. Even with recent events it is foolish to disrespect them. Invidually Bradshaw & Mantom (Romaine Sawyers too) were very good in the 3 games we've just played against them.

Moncur score 14 from midfield in a struggling side. That is the sign of a top class player.

Let's not forget that Winnall and Hourihane came from League 2, and Roberts came from Halifax Town.

Oh I'm all for signing talent from the lower leagues but they have to be better than what we have. I'm really not sure any of those 3 are better than we have, or even as good.

Walsall were a decent team- we were far better than them over the two games

Brum and Preston still keen on Bradshaw apparently.

Bradshaw is quality. Seen him a few times, better finisher than winnall, and I believe would score more in the championship. We wont get him tho, bigger clubs will snare him i reckon.

I think they're better than what we've got. Not sure they're better than what we had last season though.

Fully aware. Im just stating that once again this board is getting wayyyy too overhyped when you look at things in context.

Bradshaw would be quality but I fear we won't get him. Would he be better than Fletcher? About the same for me, but to be honest, as unrealistic as it is, I think we need both or two similar players if we are to score enough to stay up. Let's not under-estimate the Championship here. As for Mamtom, I haven't seen enough of him. I didn't rate him much in the play-offs and he looked comfortably less able than Brownhill but I'll trust the club on that one if he signs. I still think Isgrove is the key signing though. We need pace next season and I don't see much of that at present in attacking positions. Hammill is quite quick but hardly Isgrove speed, Moncur isn't overly fast either. Searing pace down at least one flank could really make a difference for us.
