MANAGER, Richard Money was delighted to beat off competition from a number of clubs to complete the signing of striker, Tommy Wright on a two-month loan deal from Barnsley.

The 22 year-old helped The Tykes gain promotion at the end of last season and has been involved in 17 League games at Championship level this term, mainly as a substitute. "I am delighted to be able to bring Tommy in on loan until January with a view to a permanent deal," said Money. "He is a player that I have known about since he was a youngster; he is strong, aggressive, good in both boxes and runs the channels well.

"His arrival will give everyone a boost and I feel that he will do well for us. He's had decent loan spells at Brentford and Blackpool in the past and has played in the first-team for Barnsley this season."

Meanwhile, James Constable has completed a loan switch to Nationwide Conference outfit, Kidderminster Harriers. "There were a lot of clubs wanting to take James on loan," revealed Money. "This move will do him the world of good as he will be playing regularly at a decent level.

"The fact that Kidderminster is nearby means we will be able to closely monitor his progress and the hope is that he will score some goals and gain plenty of confidence."

Sounds surprisingly that other clubs wanted Tommy Wright. Least this move is with view to a permanent deal. And is he describing the Tommy Wright we all know ?
