I'm ambivalent about tonight's result.
While I want the Super Red Tykes (copyright Adam Hinchcliffe) to win, it's an extra game to a tiring squad, whose prize will be away to a not exactly money spinning fixture at Stoke (I would imagine).
To be honest, I reckon Barnsley is on the periphery of a very achievable playoff and promotion place, which is by no means laid on and will have to be worked for, right down to the wire. That is the ultimate prize, and, being in that position I feel the cup run is potentially damaging to our chances of achieving that.
If we win tonight - good on 'em and good luck - I will applaude that. If we lose, I won't be heartbroken.

If we win then its 40 grand in the bank with a very acheivable 60 grand from the next leg too. yes it might tire a few players out a little but there is a possible 100k from playing one game (we have to play tonight anyway even if we lose so the next round is only one game) which could go towards signing a good centre back which could in turn make the difference between mid table and automatic promotion
RE: If we win then its 40 grand in the bank i will be upset if we lose tonight. alot of money is at stake from advancing in the cup. and after being in administration. then our fans should know more then most about how inportant money is.
