Check out this internal Microsoft video complete with fake Bruce Springsteen band aimed at motivating internal sales staff for Vista Service Pack 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPv8PPl7ANU
OMG!!! Do people really work for companies that think that is motivational. I'm not sure whether that says more about the Microsoft or the people that work for them. (N)
My favourite comment: "It is stunning that someone can take the concept of Bruce Sprinsteen and successfully manage to make it worse. This is so bad, I think its given me cancer. "
I would say That cant possible be genuine But I've worked for several American companies One had "the inner circle of trust" to motivate the sales force - if you were included you got to go on team building weekends, but couldnt go if you didn't meet your quota.Apparently that was to encourage you to succeed
RE: I would say That cant possible be genuine When I worked at Asda head office, and this was before Walmart took over, they tried to introduce a company chant....didn't last long! Part of it I recall being along the lines of "Who do we serve?" "THE CUSTOMER"!
I am told that at one company in the South all company meetings from Board level to team briefings are started with prayers. Very difficult to cope with when you are just over there for board meetings or employes going for company familiarisation training.
I know ...... ..... a contradiction in terms or oxymoron. Like saying I work for government intelligence .
Ask me owt you want about Solitaire. Or Notepad. Go on !
