I'm a fan of Tone tbh, and if it's a choice between someone like him, who, in my opinion, is proven quality or someone who's only played one game (albeit a man of the match performance) that may turn out to be a flash in the pan - i'm not sure who I'd pick. I think my vote will go to Warner as IMO he's a very good, tried and tested keeper.

But who would you pick (not who do you THINK will be picked)?

    Lets See..............

A guy who let in seven in two away games or the guy who let in one at Anfield. No brainer really that Steele has to keep his place. Give him some match practice ready for the Chelski game.

I'd go with Steele, seeing as he'll have to play the cup game then I think we need to give him games and get used to the defence.

Hey mate, i'm not saying Warner SHOULD be picked, just that he would maybe be my preference. I can't really see how we could leave Steele out tbh after that performance, but if I had a simple choice of two, Warner would be mine.

Against Plymouth we went down to 10 men after only 3 mins, and against Covvy he had only had 1 training session with the players before the game (and I didn't blame him for the goals we conceded either, the defence were simply abysmal) so I won't hold those 2 games against him. I'd rather think of his commanding performance against the league leaders (at the time) WBA.

Steele has got the gloves. After a performance like that he has got to keep them.

How can you tell Steele he's dropped?

He's just had the game of his life - if he can't keep his place after that what does he have to do?

I suspect Warner will be here longer, but he'll just have to accept the situation for what it is and bide his time. It's not like Steele can play that well every week!

It would be nice if the manager let him sit on the bench in the meantime...

Aye he was unlucky in both games. For example Souza was to blame for two of the goals against Plymouth. It's the first time in a long time, that we have been able to have such a debate on which keeper to pick.

You cant really judge a keeper on the amount of goals conceded unless you think a number of them were down to him,

Can also turn that around then and say you can't judge a keeper on the amount of saves he makes :D :D :D
