Haven't seen the incidents today, but I have seen a couple of dozen rants like that from Warnock over the years about referees, and much worse, and I'd say about 75% of the time he's completely wrong and the ref has made the right decision. He claims that referees aren't held to account. Yes, they are, he actually submits a report on the referee after every game and every time a referee officiates it is adjudicated. The only person their who isn't held to account is Warnock himself. He spins lie after lie after lie about referees year after year after year, and apart from the odd paltry fine, nothing is done about it. As I say, haven't seen these incidents, he may be right about these, but usually he's wrong. He's a self indulgent, sore loser who can only blame officials rather than accept responsibility.
To be fair to Colin he was right today 2 crucial decisions both wrong. It seems that a Boro player getting to the ball first and then being kicked is guilty of fouling the Swansea player
He's right tonight and it's the Swansea manager that's talking tosh to try to justify the refs mistakes. I'd love to beat Swansea in the playoffs.
Seeing as the playoffs seems to be the only thing we can actually beat Swansea in, that would be pretty apt.
but why oh why don't the fa and the efl do something about these refs. they deal with players for misconduct in retrospect so why not refs. surely now with all the var incidents, it proves that referees are not always right. they are human and humans make mistakes so the fa and the efl should stand up and be counted
Poor refereeing that, i think that refs should do tv interviews in these situations to put across their side of things , they are professionals now and are paid well so they should be accountable for their decisions, they,re quick enough to put managers on the spot after the games, but a referee can completely spoil a game ( as we,ve seen more than once this season) and just disappear into the night...
Got two absolutely crucial decisions wrong. The first one isn't incompetence it's blatant cheating. Even from the worst angle you can see that the Swansea player clearly fouls the Boro player and then falls over, theres absolutely no movement towards the Swansea player from the striker at all. The second one it's clear he got the ball, it suddenly fcu.ked off at 100 miles an hour in the exact direction that the Boro player was aiming.
How the referee can get those decisions wrong when he’s yards away is shocking Warnock pulled no punches in his interview saying Swansea only get them decisions because Steve coopers dad was a premier league ref
When I saw it my first thought was the ref had cocked it up the first one by blowing for the Pen instead of playing advantage. cant see how anyone could spot a foul against the defender. The Swansea pen was bizarre it was actually a foul on the defender though I could have understood a corner which is what he actually gave until the Swansea players surrounded him and then he changed his mind and gave the pen instead.
Steve Cooper claiming their penalties against Stoke and Middlesbrough were 'stonewall penalties'? His pants are definitely on fire!
