Me neither Sent off for being attacked by the prat from Reading And actually and surprisingly didnt lift a finger back at him - the 2 main culprits gillespie for starting it and then going back for 2nds - must get a long ban for that and Downs - you cant go into the opposition area and flatten the manager regardless of the provocation - and in any case he got it wrong Colin was talking to the ref about a bad Reading tackle - Not sure Colin did anything wrong at all
RE: Me neither Agreed, I don't like Warnock but I watched that incident 3 or 4 times and after the Reading guy had a go at him he just backed off and didn't get involved. I wondered if Gillespie thought that he didn't do anything wrong so decided to at least do something to warrant a red card. (Although he did deserve the red card in the first place)
According to Keith Edwards he did apparently he had been gesticulating to his players to 'get a foot in' or something like that any way according to radio Sheff their guys said the implication was unmistakable said something along the lines that you can't get away with that and he'd be in bother. Now I did'nt see it but if the blinkered summarisers from dee dar say he deserved itsomthing must have happened.
Just showing it on Sky now Warnock sarcastically applauding Hunt and then when the ref walks over Warnock gestures a "stamping" motion and points to Sidwell, saying to the ref that he missed it. The Reading guy misread it. Don't normally defend Warnock, but this time he looks hard done by.
RE: Just showing it on Sky now hard done by this time, uncle neil wally downes ex member of stan ternants team at burnley and no love lost there
Totally disagree Warnocks a d**k. As always he has to get involved. He winds his players and the opposition up. Sarcastically applauding the Reading player and then motioning with his feet. Wonder where Gillespie learned some of his skills? Anyone else remember the debacle at West Brom when he was accused of telling his players to lay down injured or the accusation by Stan Ternent that Warnock had someone listening outside the Burnley dressing room for info. Hes a sneaky, arrogant, Sh**field ******. Hope they go down. Well done to Reading!
He didn't do anything yesterday that other managers wouldn't have done. He was obviously saying to the referee that Sidwell's tackle was awful - and he was right. Though the yellow card Sidwell got was punishment enough. Warnock can be a complete arse at times, but he was innocent yesterday.
Maybe because he's got a reputation as a first class ****** that in this instance he got dragged into the incident. Lets face it he does have history for this sort of thing, such as the spat he had going with Megson.
