    Ex-Reds ace 'treated like alien'
    From The Star
IPSWICH'S former Barnsley keeper Nick Colgan claims he was treated "like an alien" at Oakwell.
He is on the bench at Portman Road but prefers that to being out of favour with the Reds.

"I was treated like an alien," he said. "Having played in virtually every match last season, I did not feature in Simon Davey's plans.

"Although I am sitting on the bench at Ipswich I am made to feel very much part of the first team. This did not happen at Barnsley.

"Although my family is based in Barnsley, they are happier for me to be based partly in Ipswich as they know I am happier in my work."

But Colgan has no gripe with the Reds players. "I hope they stay up."

How can Colgan complain,Muller is an outstanding goalkeeper and in no circumstances was going to be replaced other than through injury.Much better keeper i'm afraid Nick.

Maybe Christensen, Johnson and Ricketts were made to feel like 'aliens' too. Peronally I feel that Nick deserved to be treated better. He was a good player for us, kept clean sheets in the year we went up and saved the penalty at Cardiff.
