    and the commentators are saying how clever he was.
    I call it cheating myself

    Absolute joke. No honesty or integrity in football any more. Corrupted the soul of the game.

    As bad as diving is the feigning of injury. Actually makes me cringe to see. If I was as physically well built as Eto'o I would be Embarrased to pretend to be hurt when I wasn't!

    Never a pen. Cheating tw@t, ref conned, Shearer et al blinded by the new "brazil"

    clearly stuck his leg out toward the defender to get a contact before diving.

    Quite why the BBC pundits were not up in arms about it is baffling.

    Only Lineker offered some indication he thought it was a con.

    Shearer really annoyed me by implying that the forward is entitled to buy a penalty by sticking his leg out like that. As you say only Lineker doesn't see anything wrong with that sort of cheating
    one of the reasons I really liked him as a player never saw him take a dive

    Supported Shearer for years following England but lost all respect for the guy the day he deliberately ran back into and back head-butted Adie Moses and then fell on the floor to get Adie sent off in the FA Cup 6th round game in the Prem season. Absolute cowardly con-man.
