    Forget David Connolly at Sunderland lets bring Smudger to Oakwell....... He's Box office and always gives 100%. I think he would be a fantastic signing and top Championship player. Also if ncessary he can drop back into midfield.

    Otherwise we could look at the likes of Ched Evans at Man City.

    Alan Smith would never come to us in 1,000,000 years even on loan to get fit, plus Ched Evans has featured a few times in the Man City first team this season, so i doubt he'll come either

    Ched Evans is a more realistic target. We all know Man City will be signing big this transfer window so Ched Evans could be heading for the reserves.

    He's a big strong player who has an eye for goal. Something we need. And if the Jamie Ward rumours are true then potentially they could be a good pairing!
