Unlucky mate its happened to me a couple of times (both on the cheap unfortuantely) but the last time I ended up getting a job I really enjoy. Its not nice at the time but keep trying and good luck
You have my Sympathy Happened to me a couple of times and despite what anyone says about you having new oppertunities etc its really **** at the time Good luck with your job hunt and hope you get something better than you had before and soon - both times I have finished up in a job I enjoyed more then the one I was "let go" from
Its tough, but you'll get there Never been made redundant, but left my last job before I was ready and had a month to find work. Bearing in mind I've been down south for 9 years, getting a job in Yorkshire looked hard work, but its not as bad as it seems, just needs dedication and a little bit of graft, and of course, some luck. Keep yourself busy and don't dwell on it, get this weekend out of the way and get your CV straight on Monday. Treat job hunting as a full time job and you may be surprised what you'll find out there.
Redundancy Sorry to hear about your job loss. I understand what it is like. Make sure they pay you the correct redundancy pay that you are entitled to. You may be entitled to more than the statutory amount, check your employment contract. You will need to make sure you are claiming all the welfare benefits that you are entitled to. If you have any debts, are you covered by payment protection insurance? Now good luck with your job hunt
If it's any help... ....I was made redundant about 3 years ago and it's probably turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to me. Obviously things were a little better back then but it got me out of a rut and I've managed to make it work in my advantage. Hope the same happens to you.
