was pulling nardy off the correct decision?

Afterall, we hardly shut up shop. Davy may as well have played a 3-4-2 formation. By taking Nardy off he virtually nullified our attacking options.

    "Pulling nardy off" oo'er.

I do agree though mate, cant understand the thinking behind it personally. Maybe get Anderson to sit deeper, put Nardi out wide, Leon into the middle, and leave Macken up front alone. At least that way we still have attacking options on the field.

yes. It was a choice of Macken or Nardiello

Not necessary to always pull a forward off..

In this situation. They were other options. We went defensive, ended up getting stuffed. May as well have had a good go at em.

the problem comes from the bench

we simply do not use the bench correctly. 3 strikers, one winger and a right back means that any defensive change involves messing the team up.

if we had someone along the lines of togwell or even dare I say it paul reid on the bench then he could have replaced a midfielder and we could have gone with a more solid defensive midfield that protects the defenders whilst still maintaining some kind of attacking presense.

unfortunatly davey likes to keep three strikers on the bench. I don't recall a single game where he has used all three though, but you never know. one day....

2 quick wingers, would've had to drop back ..

We still got thumped. So why not have a good go at em in the first place?

by properly utilising the FIVE subs on the bench

Davey could have given himself lots of options

We could easily have switched to something like this for example

    foster - hassell - souza - kozluk

    togwell - anderson - howard
    nardiello
    macken

I dont think we should start with Nardy away from home. He's not fit enough, we need to get stuck in away from home and Nardy's not that player.

Did exactly that at Norwich last season...

and ended up getting tonked 5-1. I was hoping that Davey would bring on Hassell and look to Macken to hold the ball up. I was also hoping for an early introduction of Campbell-Ryce for the swifter counter-attack. Seems the lads did reasonably given the circumstances.

    We lost 3-0

    how is that reasonable?

If you lose £10, is it reasonable to expect to have to lose another £20 later?

Not a great analogy, but I reckon if you look deep enough you will see the reasoning .

    I don't do analogies

But with Nardiello we're starting with 10-1/2 players anyway.

    mostto 17 games, 1 goal

Thats Ballox mate, you are wrong

Nards is far better than you admit, he is a **** but a very good goalscorer.
Rather him in the side than Mostto or Odejayi
