    I understand that

Brian wants to play in The Premier League next year.

Whether such a move materialises is another thing.

    RE: I understand that

Could really begrudge him a chance should one materialise. He has been a good player for Barnsley and if we make some money on him as he leaves he will have served us well. Got to wish him luck if he goes. I think the funds from his sale could help us fund a number of replacements/ improvements to the team. Particularly strikers

Could have been but really does depend on someone coming in for us

I cant see him wanting to go to another chamionship side, but if a proper prem side comes in with a sensible offer I suspect he will be off. Heard Villa mentioned today but I cant really see him as Barry's replacement.

I hope we keep him - players ambitious to play in the premiership can also do it the hard way next season :)

    Hope we keep him

But if a Prem side comes in for him, how can we stand in his way? Proper recompense required like.

If he stays, Brilliant. If he goes, all the best to him, fantastic player.

I'd wish him well if a Premier League Club came in.

As long as we get a decent fee and sign a decent replacement you can't deny a player the chance to play in the top league and earn some brass.

I'm not personally sure that's he good enough however.

    So has bobby Hassell

    as far as that goes.

Not good enough for a regular prem player IMHO

Hassell has tackled like a lion and blocked everything on the edge of the box

but I dont think he his a midfielder, he played as a defender against those 2 teams.
Still thinbk he is a better defender than mid fiellder.

I think that's the defensive midfield role in a nutshell nt

    I think you are wrong

I believe you should be able to pass the ball also.

RE: I think you are wrong

I agree - he does not seem to have the skill to put in a telling forward pass. Cant knock him for effort though. I think he has done a good job fill in for us after De Silvas injury

    agreed.

We would miss him sorely. Anything under £3m and I would be sorely disappointed. We can't stand in his way if a Premier League club came in for him. Maybe one of the promoted sides will go for him.
