.....then read the Posh forum, fans not very complimentary at all, not taken long has it? Was destined for the bench again yesterday until a late injury got him a start. Subbed just after half time. Fans reckon he was shocking. So my mind is at rest, if he's not pulling trees up in League 1 then he's no chance for us. Ryan Williams worth a punt if Hourihane doesn't make it?
I'm praying Hourihane is back for Tuesday otherwise, on yesterday's viewing, it would seem our central midfield will include Yiadom. Whoever comes in will be thrown into the deep end with it being Newcastle and the ability of their players but who knows, someone might grab the opportunity and play a blinder.
Having seen the video of scowens sending off and knowing the circumstances which led to him stretching (ie him being fouled twice) we would be absolutely crazy not to appeal it
Well now he'd be in the team if he had any belief in his own ability. Instead he ran away to his L1 comfort zone.
I thought it was only the fact he was always injured that you disliked about him. Are you now saying that he's **** in general even when playing?
You'd have written this fella off too. http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/feat/ed35/steve_p_davisnbsp_340609/index.shtml
You don't know that yet though. He could be Phill Gridelet he could be Eric Winstanley ( though would have to grow a manly tache) he could be Richard Kell. Hell he could even be Brian McCord who ' didn't like football or crowds'. Only time will tell. While he's with us he should have our support. Steve Davis was out for ages after we signed him played a bit and got injured again. We definitely paid him for 2 years when he didn't play.
Good. I was thrown maybe by the post where he said we were scraping the bottom of the **** barrel. My bad.
He's played 25, 45, 75 and then 90 mins for the 23s. He's getting closer. I suppose time will tell. But with our small squad he'd be a decent addition.
