Or is he not up to Championship Football. I thought he was excellent when we played Man City. He did well with World Class players Bellamy, Adabao, S W Phillips, so what happened yesterday. No mention of him being injured, just, poor.
I didn't think he was that bad. He was just brought off because he was playing too defensively, which we didn't need against an average side like Watford.
The game was passing him by He din't seem to know where to go, and hardly became involved. Put in very few tackles, standing off the oppostion mainly. He may have been a bit overawed by it all. Mind you, the formation at the start was bad, with a 4-5-1 with Gray stranded up front on his own. Things inmproved with a 4-4-2, but we didn't come to life until too late, 10 minutes before the end when Iain Hume came on. What's the news on JCR?
RE: Not injured just poor... Completely agree. I've said it on here when people have been praising him as a world beater. We saw him play in a prestige game, in the hot sunshine, against a Man City team in second gear. I'm not convinced with him at all but I will wait to see how he performs over 10 - 15 championship games.
