I've only seen him play against WBA. First half thought he was poor and stuck to his line and didn't command his area, however, fortunately they did have any clear chances. Second half much improved he claimed crosses, kicked well and made a few saves........ Played ok, but thought everyone around was overating him. The worry is still no keeper for Saturday
FFS. He’s a good keeper who played well on Saturday. Stuck to his line? He came out a few times and took the crosses and corners West Brom had and came out well twice blocking shots. Seen a bit of him before and has played many times before at Premiership level. We lost because we went down to 10 men very early on, conceded a goal from the resulting free kick. That’s it game over.
Is it really going to matter that much... We can't defend away from home as it is. Even if we had Buffon in the nets on Saturday, we are still going to struggle. I'm not being pessimistic here, but our away form is hardly good. Even Ipswich have won more away than us now. Another team who were relying soley on their home form. Last night, from what I've heard - we were desperately unlucky, and should have had at LEAST a point. But overally, throughout the season - it's safe to say that it's not only luck that has played the part in us being very poor away from home. We are a TEAM, one player is NOT going to rectify our away form. So, I can't see the point in scrounging around to bring a keeper in, with only 2 days left to the Liverpool match. A player who dosn't know anyone, and who probably dosn't give a flying f*ck about the club. Why not play Kyle Letheren, if Davey does hold ANY hope for the lad in the future - then show some faith in him. Play him at Anfield... The onus won't just be on him, it will be on the TEAM. One player does not make all the difference, sure - if you have a Ronaldinho or a Zidane in your team, flashes of brilliance and inspiration are going to shine through - but unless the team as WHOLE play together, do the basics and go there with no fear - then it wont matter who is in goal. I personally don't feel that bringing in a brand new keeper, for just one game (If that is the intention) will make a whole host of difference? Why not just give Letheren a game? Wolves did it with Hennessey...

We are going to get hammered so i can't see the point in bringing in a goal keerper for one game.
