    Is it empty ?

Couldn't you knock it off and bag it - bloke came into work the other week - he's a pest control officer and he suggested this to a woman at work with a similar problem!

    do you know any fishermen

they will come and take the nest for you, otherwise wait for em all to come in at night, get a ptrol soaked rag and block up the hole, all dead in the morning :)

RE: do you know any fishermen

we had one in a shed once easy to get rid of.

Buy a can of wasp nest destroyer stuff (can't remember where we got ours from maybe B&Q)

Wait while the temperature drops after dark. When its cold the Wasps are docile. Then spray. The spray jets out from the can for maybe 3 metres. So you can spray from a safe distance.

The key to doing this is after dark when its cooler.

They might try and re-build so watch for the builder wasps and quickly destroy and alos try and find the path they use to enter the nest and block it off

Cheers love and thanks. I am terrified of wasps - and mosquitoes. I need to be able to go in and out of the shed with confidence. Think hubby will have to have another look tonight although he has got rid of the nest.

Wasps are very intelligent, they put guards outside their nests at night. These guards can detect human presence. The guards send signals inside the nests of a threat, this inturn sends them into battle stations and into a stinging frenzy.
So be afraid be very afraid. The best thing to do is throw a cat inside the shed and wait for 1 hour, after the wasps have stung the cat repeatedly. (the cat dosn't feel wasps stings so is quite safe) go inside the hut and remove the nest. Wasps are docile after a stinging frenzy so it should be quite safe to enter. Remove the nest and place it in your neighbours shed or someone you detest. Job done. (blaze)
