Just been stung for the first time in my 49 years on this earth.

Handled it like a hard *******. No tears, no screams, no dramas, just with a ‘****’.

I know I’m a hard ******* but how long does this pain last for? I’m an hour in and I’m thinking of hacking my forearm off, SAS style.

Get me the hacksaw then as I must have been stung by some kind of tropical killer.

I was stung by a wasp about 2 weeks ago on my side just above my waist and I've still got a red lump. It doesn't hurt or itch now but it's still there

Stinging pain can be around a few hours to a day mate. Redness and swelling could be a good few days mate
    Good job you're hard!:)

Whereas I'm the total opposite to you, old mate. The first time I was stung (by a bee), there were screams, dramas & tantrums from myself. When I noticed the bee crawling on the floor, I stamped on it numerous times, questioning it's parentage! My sulking lasted a great deal longer than any pain!

Vinegar or lemon juice on it bud, wasp stings are highly alkaline, the acid neutralises it and eases it quickly.

(Don’t do that for a bee sting though if you ever get one as they are acidic - dab some bicarbonate of soda /water paste on them)

My Nana once swallowed a wasp that had crawled inside a fizzy drinks can. It stung her several times in her mouth and oesophagus. She was a bit annoyed.

I’ve been stung lots of times - it’s a minor inconvenience.

Your first sting? That means the next one will determine whether you’re allergic to them. I’ve had one wasp sting too. On my foot whilst lying in bed 25 years ago. With my almost supernatural ability to pick up medical conditions, I’m not looking forward to the second one.

Don't think I've ever been stung by a wasp. Had three bee stings in my living memory, all of which were pretty unpleasant. The last time was when I stood on one on holiday in France a few years ago. Thought I'd trodden on a thistle for about 5 seconds, then I heard a muffled buzzing and immediately realised what had happened. The next hour was spent convinced someone had rammed a molten poker through my foot. And then the pain just faded and went. Coincided roughly with bottle number 2 of Sancerre.

Swelling lasting for a good few days. Glad the wife doesn’t read this board or she’d be sneaking a wasp in my undies:p

Currently in a Wakey beer garden running from table to table to escape wasps. Because I’m soft.
