fair weather fans, no money to go to the football fans, cant get off work to go to football fans, glory suporting fans etc all of a sudden find the money and/or time off work to go to cardiff. be worth knowing how many fans first match of the season for us will be the cardiff one. i bet its a huge percentage. also if we go up no doubt money will be found under the matress and shifts change to they can watch a better standard of football.
Good I'd rather see 30,000 Barnsley supporters/glory hunters then the usual 8,000 that go to Barnsley matches
In defence of those that work weekends, it is easier to change ONE DAY that is it for 20+ home matches!
I agree with you I bet it's a lot of people first match since Wembley, they haven't given a **** about the club for the last few seasons when we really DID need their help due to our financial situation. Now suddenly they are the biggest Barnsley fans around, it makes my blood boil. Even if all of them just came to some of the matches throughout a season Barnsley FC would be in a much better situation. If only our 9000 loyal fans turned up to Cardiff i would feel much prouder that i was sat with only loyal fans and not bandwagon jumpers. They will no doubt be taking up all the best seats so they can see the names on the back of the players shirts cos they won't have a fu cking clue who's who.
RANT OVER

I think if you asked................ Messrs Cryne and Shepherd they would want as many tickets sold as possible-if thay had limited it to 1 per season ticket holder and then released the rest for general sale lots of people wouldn't have gone -" I can't sit next to so-and so"-and the club loses revenue-the bottom line is it's a money spinner and we need as much as possible
RE: I agree with you "Now suddenly they are the biggest Barnsley fans" - are they really saying that?! It'll be the 1st game of the season for an 11 year old….for a game that could make him Barnsley for life, but I guess I should leave him at home then!
RE: What's been wrong with the twenty odd home matches? He's at his dads alternate weekends which has ruled out over half the home games. Midweek games are a non-starter. And as I have a season ticket with mates it's difficult to take him other times as he's either sat away from me or means swapping seats around. Would have got him a season ticket for next season if the £60 weren't just under -11's (reckon if he only made 10 games it'd still be ok…£120 is a bit much if he's missing half the games) You're right though - I'll leave him at home instead.
Just make sure you have something on the back of your shirt that tells people how many games you've been to. That'll prove that you're a much better fan than them and raise your self-esteem. Do it. It'll make you feel better,
He may just turn into a final fan And we've already got 20,000+ of them
'Swapping seats around' I haven't sat in the same seat all season, if you haven't noticed there's been 2/3 of all seats empty most of the season. Hardly an excuse for not taking him.

RE: He may just turn into a final fan Why am I having to justify to you why I've not taken him to any games.......you've convinced me, I'll leave him at home!
people just going to big events Barstewards All them that go to Wimbledon for the tennis. Where were they for the Scumchester open? And them that go to Glastonbury. Why aren't they at every pub gig that ever there was. Utter *******. People like to go to big events. What's wrong with that.
RE: Good You really are an Idiot... more fans we get in the ground more cash we get for next season which ever league we are in... Truly cannot comprehend some people.. We are in the final and we start to find something else to moan about.
Name calling, very classy One game in 5 years at a final, or a few matches every season. If you can't comprehend my point you must be a you know what. Final supporters are not what we need, supporters coming to Oakwell is what we need especially in our financial situation.
Of course i'm over the moon about us been in a final, but to hear these people going on about the match when they haven't given a flying fu ck about us for the last god knows how many years makes me mad.
