Let's give 'em a bloody nose and send them packing.Hope I get canvassed by one, that'll be fun! http://www.barnsley.gov.uk/council/elections/results_wards.asp?EID=25 Also I notice our esteemed former owner is standing as an Independent in the Central ward. (I wonder if he's the "ex-Labour man" that an independent canvasser was warning me about saying it was an underhand trick by Labour to get the independent votes.)
I think you should edit your post ES... quite clearly our "owner" is not standing. Our former owner is, P Doyle. I'd change it afore thw mail comes
Sky News Poll......... ....reports widespread support for BNP policies on immigration and asylum. Only 6% budged when told they were BNP policies. I wonder if the fluffy liberals who cry "racist" every time anyone tries to address our "asylum seeker" problems will realise this is their doing.
I'm sorry Windy, but I can never accept that "facists" in the true sense of the word hold any realistic solutions to supposed immigration and asylum issues. I will accept that there is a feeling that the main political parties are not addressing "concerns", but I would question how much of this "concern" is genuine and how much is whipped up by the media. Support for the BNP might be a symptom of a problem but can never be a solution to it. History proves that. I would imagine that these are people who would love a "race war", whereas the majority of people, regardless of colour, creed or religion just want to get on with their lives. As much as Muslims have their extremists, so do we. Perhaps I misjudge the situation and people who say that they support the BNP do so out of concern at the immigation situation, and don't look more closely into what the BNP actually stand for and who their hero's are. But from my point of view, if you elect a BNP representative, our current political system means that their party policy represents you regardless of your agreement, once you have ticked that box you support ALL their ideas. If that meane repatriating your family doctor because he is of Pakistani origin, is acceptable through ignorance, then it's not for me, thanks. Yours Fluffy
You've misunderstood me mate. I don't think the BNP have any realistic answers. I think they're a bunch of muppets. All I'm saying is that this is what we get when we go too far in one direction. Political polarisation. The man in the street sees them as some kind of balance.
RE: Mr Redstar..... Not sure who to vote.... Def won't be labour or conservatives... If that just leaves the BNP, then so be it!
Racist activities at Oakwell..... Can anyone remember the NF distributing leaflets along Grove Street and Belgrave Road back in the 78/79 season? The game that stands out for me was Reading - they were all over the floor that day.
