Never heard of her before but she's a great performer. Had a fantastic orchestra and choir behind her so the sound was top class as it would have to be at the Albert Hall. The audience loved it.
.The music is just not my cup of tea. But I admire talent when I see it. I caught a little bit channel hopping, and thought at first it was a recording of Amy Winehouse.
Went to a concert at the Albert Hall last year and it has probably the best acoustics of any venue I've ever been to. Which is remarkable when its 150+ years old.
They are a customer of ours, so I implemented their new finance system in 2019/20 and spent a number of days on site there. Its an amazing venue, I just love the place. Would love to go to an event there.
The Who used to be there every year on a charity gig...would haved loved to have gone but it was very expensive.
She was great on Louis Theroux. Her song Bed paid for her house. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001sx48/louis-theroux-interviews-series-2-4-raye A few of her songs are OK, but most aren't my kinda tunes. No denying she's got a great voice though. She had wrote loads of hits for huge worldwide stars before deciding to sing her own hits.
