Massive injury crisis. Threatened with very possible relegation. 4-0 down.

By the standards of the Premier League, they lack a bit of quality. But they really show how important work rate, determination and desire are. The fans are still rocking the place. They're losing heavily and may well go down, but they're still loved by their fans.

I just can't help but compare this atmosphere at Elland Road with the mood at Barnsley. So many people on here have said "I don't mind losing, as long as they leave everything on the pitch." Same goes for relegation. And it's true for most football fans. We need to see fight for the shirt, even if you're shíte.

Leeds fans really showing that tonight, and to me it renders moot a few excuses for our lads (confidence etc). Losing 4-0 can't do much for confidence, but you can still see the effort there on the pitch, and it's being rewarded by fans.

Thought they were poor, had chances to score and messed them up. Would laugh if they went down!

I'm torn on it. They're a local rival and they take the mick out of us on the regular, so I want them to go down, but as a neutral football fan I prefer seeing Prem games with them rather than a Bournemouth or something. I know it's #teamslikebournemouth etc, but when I'm watching a game I'm not invested in it is more interesting

I agree with Helen that it'll be funny if they go down especially after sacking Bielsa, but I totally agree with you that watching them is more interesting, at least this is one thing that we can't lose on this season :D

Leeds fans embarrassed themselves today chucking stuff constantly onto the pitch. Hope they go down!

Must admit I was rooting for them a few weeks back when we had a chance of staying up, when usually I always hope for the worst with Leeds, but I would rather have them stop up if it meant we stopped up.

But now we’re down, **** em!

That's pretty much the same as when we were in the Premier League. There was no lack of effort from the players and the fans got behind them till the end. It could well be the same end result for Leeds.

Should be fined, there was no announcement to tell fans to stop it. Funny them trying to wind Grealish up by throwing stuff at him, didn't faze him at all and he had a good game.

We had the same sort of atmosphere under flicker ,
Looking at relegation in the face but players giving everything (in stark contrast to now )and Oakwell rocked literally to some great tunes including three little birds which was sung enthusiastically from three side of our ground .

Lovely bunch them Leeds fans. Look at the tip around the pitch but you can bet the Premier League won't punish them for crowd control. Grealish could barely taken a corner for being pelted with all sorts. One video shows someone walk to the front to throw something at him inches away from a steward who watched it and did nothing.
