it will be.. id like to think we will see at least 11 to 12 thou. but without some kind of non-internet advertising, i fear the gate will be similar to the last 3. Watford will fetch 750 ish id guess. and maybe we will see an extra 1000 reds paying on the day.. which will re-inforce the clubs CAT ******. maybe thats WHY they dont advertise it properly?? so that they can say "we told u so" who knows? not moi.. . . . anywho, i take it u will be turning up next week Kahtorse? missed a CRACKER yestdy.. only cost me £13.50 with my ST too. Value for money. shame we cant say the same for matchday tickets!
I think it'll be under 10,000 The club really have messed up with this Category system this season and now the word has got out it's £30 to watch footy at Oakwell, it's gonna put a lot of people off (hence 2,000 missing fans this season). Apart from looking on the website or that little box in the Chron nobody is going to know it's only £16 to get in so I can't see much difference in the home support to be honest. Not had bad attendances in recent years against Watford - some getting close to get below 10,000 - but with the £30 word spreading and no advertising, I daren't think what it's gonna be this year. 2010-2011 Barnsley 0 - 0 Watford Attendance: 10,653 (£15 to get in) 2009-2010 Barnsley 1 - 0 Watford Attendance: 11,739 (£19 to get in) 2008-2009 Barnsley 2 - 1 Watford Attendance: 11,285 (£20 to get in) 2007-2008 Barnsley 3 - 2 Watford Attendance: 10,117 (£20 to get in)
Re: I think it'll be under 10,000 I agree ask anyone on the street and they will tell you it's £30 at Oakwell now. I will be going to Cat B & C games but I don't think we will see many pay on the Day fans turning out in force to watch a team which is only 2 points above the drop zone. I hope I'm wrong.
