Does anyone think Deeney was offside for their first?

And what about the nudge on Scotland not given before they scored again??

From where I was sat it looked 2 yard offside and a blatant push on Scotland , but we had plenty of opportunity to defend and clear before there second goal went in

Kennedy playing him onside - as he does repeatedly every week with every striker we play against.

The foul on Scotland was exactly that, a foul.

It was Ramage who played him onside, if he was onside, wasn't it?

Looked a clear foul on Scotland to me, but once the decision has gone against you, you have to defend properly.

This is how I saw their opening goal, I could have got it totally wrong, but here goes. Ramage was marking the striker who scored. The rest of our defenders had pushed out, so it was only Ramage who was playing him onside. Ramage runs forward to try to catch the striker offside, but does it just as the ball is played. The player was clearly in an offside position when he received the ball, but it's when it was played that counts. Did Ramage time his run right or was he a fraction late. I couldn't tell.

I thought Ramage got it right but Kennedy was 2 yards too deep as usual.

First one we failed miserably at playing the offside trap. The 2nd one was a foul on Scotland but if we had played to the whistle like Watford did (instead of arguing with the ref for not giving it) our opponents wouldn't have had such an headstart to move down the other end of the pitch.

I sit not far off in line with it in the West Stand and it was very hard to tell. We pushed forward as he made his run so he ended up miles in front in a split second. If I was the lino I'd have given it offside, but he didn't. Not the reason we lost today.

I thought the first was offside but most sat around me thought it was on and the second started with a foul but that doesn't excuse the appalling defending that led to the goal.

For me, Cranie was playing him on.

It was a certain foul on Scotland, but Kennedy should have dealt with the cross.

Exactly how I saw it. And I think he was clearly onside. Once Ramage had been left behind by the other 3 pushing up he should have just defended the player, the ball had been played before he moved forward, silly desperate defending.

Just seen it mate. Kennedy is five yards up the pitch, not interfering with the offside at all. I think it's how I described it, but you don't see Ramage's run so we still have no idea if he made it at the right time. He's just stood their like a loon with his hand up in the air. For all the talk when we signed him he's been a big let down thus far.

Quality defending from Kennedy for the second mind.

I think he must have been talking to someone in the crowd or thinking about what he was going to have for tea. He was hoping it was chips.
