I thought he'd thrown himself down, but watching it back, Beevers does clip his ankles. He doesn't touch the ball.

How did the linesman miss it?

Or was he afraid of the coins raining down from that end?

Couldn't tell at the time, but when watching tv coverage (I've watched the game back three times now!:D), it's a blatant penalty. It was great to see Marley back on the pitch for us, too.

It was a penalty by the rules but one you rarely get. Taking an easy tumble from minimal (albeit clear) contact when at a poor shooting angle like that rarely yields a penalty kick. Fortunately it was immaterial.

    Blatant Pen.

Yet another abysmal decision going against us this season.

I actually thought their goal should have been disallowed for an elbow on Roberts too. It's pretty clear.

That's the full game you understand, not mere highlights.:)

I have a confession as well.

You know you'd set it to record the game, and I said I hadn't because I didn't want to tempt fate.

Got in Sunday to set to record and the whole game had recorded. I set the Owls match to record, and must have selected record series.

And I have only watched the highlights, so I hang my head in shame!:)

Mind you I've got the full game, Sky highlights, and Channel 5 highlights! Sad? Moi?

Channel 5 do show some footage of the trouble.

It was as blatant as you'll ever see and I couldn't understand why everyone around me wasn't going mental about it, I thought I must have seen it wrong.

Yeah, I watched their programme on Channel 5 +24 last night.
I don't care how sad it makes me appear to anyone else, old mate. This season has been a one off for our beloved club and it'll live forever in our memories.
