Has anyone ever been to Wavertree in Liverpool? Whats it like etc. Anyone have a map?

    Cheers in advance! (Y)

It can be a bit rough at times, but it's basically one big long road with around 20 pubs on it, so it's ideal for a pub crawl. I've staggered down there many a time.

Mill Hill Red brought back memories . I did the pub crawl many times when at uni there .

There are 2 sides to Wavertree . Dog rough one end of the road and semi detached suburbia other end.

We used to have to walk through the dog rough end to take exams etc .Also landlords ( flats not pubs) in the dog rough end were sharks who used to rip everyone off.

Even the police are reluctant to go in the rough end.

There is a really nice park at one end from memory .

    Freya now reminiscing !

I live in Wavertree - the semi detached suburban end. It's not a bad place. The pubs have gone down hill - a lot of them have shut down. Allerton Road - which is at the end of Smithdown has nicked all the pub trade but there are still a few decent pubs left. Sorry this is late reply - been away for a week
