If Johnson applied for both the Chezzy job and Rotherham job as is rumoured then the board must have known he was looking for a way out - hence they didn't want to sack him and pay compo. Then when Bristol came calling the blow of losing him isn't so big. Yeah - its come at a bad time with the recent run etc and the JPT final but as everyone keeps mentioning - it was the arrival of Hammill and the revert to 442 that changed our fortunes. If he had kept his poor tippy tappy 451 with winnall on the wing we woudlnt have got the wins we have had. Maybe he has learnt is lesson and realised his old philosophy is not good enough - time will tell with Bristol. If he tries the same stuff with them - the quality in the championship will quickly find him out. So - i think the board will go for a less experienced manager again because they want a yes man to place in the role - or someone that is willing to work with the structure they have. I don't think LJ envisaged having so much control handed over to committees and such - instead of him being the boss as manager. I think the next man we bring in should fit OUR philosophy - they style of footy the BFC fans want to see, they types of players we want to see - rather than everything changing again. Did Barcelona not used to do this? This is how we play the game - now coach them to play like that... Id like to see that. This si the barnsley product and you know what to expect as a fan. If Tommy goes too i can see Hecky or Burton getting a crack if Cooper isn't bothered. Shame hes gone when we were aiming for some consistency but onwards and upwards. I think teh club is in a good place at the moment to be fair. Seems like they have got their **** together a little.
