Usual OTT comments from usual suspects. Clarke really gets some undeserved stick ,given that he is dealing from a stacked very unbalanced deck, Last two games his selections have got us into some very promising positions only to be let down by some crap decision making, crossing and shooting. With anything like a striker we should have slaughtered Bristol. Yes he could and should tweak things a bit but he is really limited. Personally I think the obvious change should be one of a Connell or a Phillips being dropped and if it’s not Connell he should be relieved of at least 50% of dead ball situations. I still think the reality is , if we had a decent striker we would be a lot different proposition. At the moment we are in our seemingly never ending position of the defence being under constant pressure because they know if we concede we are likely to lose due to our total lack of a cutting edge! For me the blame lays totally at the feet of the owners and recruitment, but I still think with the addition of a couple of decent additions we can still turn things round for the better!
We are a reasonable div one side that will probably finish around 10th but haven’t got the quality to stay in the top six , we knew what was needed in the summer and it never happened so i haven’t any confidence that we’ll recruit any better in January , plus i have to agree about Connell he needs taking off set piece duties.
