Deep down, even those who might not say it, Conor Hourihane Barnsley (interim) head coach sounds just brilliant. Right decision or not, im sure everyone can get behind a Hourihane Barnsley team
Why he done nowt so far as for him been set piece coach b4 today's sacking hard to see what he been doing regarding set pieces
He might be great. He might be 'ok'. He might be utter kak. The sacking of Clarke is partly designed to win back disillusioned fans. Hourihane's appointment is part of that. They've obviously succeeded in cheering you up!!!
Eh? He's done absolutely nothing as a coach. He's been put in charge to sell season tickets. Those who still fawn over his playing days with us need to get a grip.
Yeah conned his way into an assistant head coach role despite having zero experience. The exact way that things shouldn’t happen. it’s going to make him or break him.
I’ve been critical of the board just as anyone has on here. The point of my post was nothing to do with them. If you can’t get behind Hourihane as our manager then I have lost faith in Barnsley fans. Blokes a hero
I'd love it if he came out of retirement and named himself in the squad on Saturday, and it turned out all along that Clarke just wouldn't pick him.
It was set from the day he was employed. I wish him nowt but the best. But the way they introduced him as (not bothered as a player) head coach in 3 yrs undermined Clarke.
Correct. Allan Clarke hadn't managed, or Norman Hunter, or Danny Wilson, nor Paul Heckingbottom. Conor should not be tarred by the first 36 games. I hope he's our next head coach.
After our disagreement the other day, this I am in absolute agreement with. Well said. People already writing him off, bonkers.
Means nothing , it’s all about being at the right club at the right time, great player for us let’s hope it rubs off has head coach You Reds
