FFS it a friendly...... who cares I'd prefer we won game 5-0 but this is the time for SD to experiment with formations etc, try out new players etc so result counts for nothing....... plus these results may make SD rethink his striking situation. when season kicks off I think its unlikley that we will start with that side. Steele will be fit again, Howard is likely to start as is Jon Macken. Can't see KO getting nod over Hume or Macken anyways...... Did John Smith get on the pitch? if so how did he play?
Not just a friendly, etc etc. We NEED to get into a winning frame of mind. In recent years we've tended to have a crap preseason and then gone on to struggle in the league. Sorry, but I'd much rather us win 10-0 against some pokey little team..... if only to give our blighted players some idea where the net is and how to score goals. If we were to go through the next few friendlies losing and not scoring what sort of impression does that give to supporters? Once more we would start a season asking who's going to score goals. Win every game. No other way.
