must not be playing as bad as i thought,or is it more to wednesday loosing?...i dont know i havnt looked at the table
Here we go again with the ludicrous 'ohh it doesnt matter as long as the Fowls, Millers & Blunts lose' comments. So if we were bottom of the Conference and losing at home to Frickley Athletic, it would be ok as long as those other teams also had a bad result.
There's been plenty of games where we've been the better team and not got 3 points this season. Plus we've had our top scorer missing for the last 3 games. Calm
Sorry, I didn't realise we were in Sheff Utd and Rotherham's league. We're 3 points above relegation in the first week in November and you want to sack the manager?
Not having a go at you, but I think you are in a minority. I just get really bored off sack the manager threads after away games when in all fairness most people wouldn't necessarily expect us to win. I accept we've created that situation by losing at home to teams we'd hope to beat. But it Is way too early to panic, and we need to be realistic about the budget Hill has to work with given the injuries we have
Ooohhh 7 eh, that proves even more that Im NOT the only one like I suggested. I dont want this to happen and Id love to see things change for the positive (and believe me it wouldnt be the first time Id been wrong regarding the team and/or manager).
After 15 games the gap between 4th/5th/6th bottom and mid table is always rather small in this league. What we don't want is to be in bottom 6 end of month and double figures away from the safety of 13th-16th. Home game next yet taken 3 points from last 5 at home. Luckily grabbed two 1-0s with thanks to bad finishing at the death by opponents
We're having a bad run but players are coming back and it seems from his interviews Keith knows were our weaknesses are and wants to address them - whether he is allowed or not is another matter. We'll get better and I think we'll be ok unless we sell our better players in Jan at which point I think Keith will walk and I would not blame him.
Thats true but also irrelevant at the moment - with a third of the season gone we have 15 points from 15 games >> 46 points at the end of the season and that usually gets you relegated To maintain our status in this league (never mind actually progress) we need to get at least 35 points from the remaining 31 games - ie we need to improve I personally think we will do that if we can get Davies back fit and keep him in January and hopefully get Mido up and running - our fundamental problem is lack of goals and lack of someone to hold the ball up when Davies is not there. Its essential that Hill fixes that - we never recovered from losing Vas Te and Butterfield last season we cant play without Davies and Mellis this season though neither are quite as good as the previous two. We have a lot of adequate squad players but very few who can change a game
No, we have two fundamental problems - we can't score and we can't keep clean sheets. Not often enough anyway
I think 46 pts would have kept you up in the last four seasons the teams have been that poor at the bottom.
