Proud of the teams performance tonight AND on the whole so far this season.
Tonight epitomises just how difficult this league is. Play well, don't take your chances and you get punished. And of course the abysmal display of referee's throughout the division doesn't help.

I would be wrong to suggest the referee was partly responsible for the outcome of the game, but it doesn't change the fact that he was a disgrace tonight.
We were the better team, but not better at scoring goals, it happens, more so at Hillsborough.

At first i was absolutely livid at the red card incident, but after seeing it back i think a yellow card for both players would have sufficed. From an attackers point of view Hammill was trying to trap the ball with both his feet in order to maintain possession, and Hutchinson went for the sliding tackle to counteract this. It happened at 100 mph, and unfortunately the referee isn't fit to referee in the football league, certainly not at Championship level.

Anyway, i doubt we will appeal, but at least Watkins is available again.

Tough game at Cardiff coming up, but they are hit and miss and down the bottom half for a reason. Then two tough home games, potential banana skins. But with the same effort and application as tonight, i fancy us for at least 6 points out of those three games.
