Thats a very small factor in our problems pal, we need...... the manager to play to our strengths rather than playing negative, cautious tactics and having the team hoof high balls to a midget C/F, the supporters not singing has very little to do with it.
Or maybe we have to let the tactical genius that is Simon Davey move on to the bigger and better things that he eventually will go on to. It will hurt to allow him to leave but for the good of his own career we have to allow him to manage at a higher level. I feel we are holding him back and in a few seasons time I think I may get over it.
Wrong about the support by the way. That’s my opinion anyway. Teams like us need all the advantages we can get. And if that involves fans making Oakwell an intimidating place to come then it helps. I go to the odd Man City games and there fans support in the bad times did help a poor side go back to the prem.. Good support at home pushes a team on and can act like a 12th man. Shouldn’t matter who you play there is no excuse to not get behind the team. Also no kidding Stockport is a more intimidating place to go.
It's a bit of a 2 way thing though, if the team go out with a positive attitude the fans'll get behind em (e.g. QPR). Davey's not giving us anything to cheer cos his tactics are so negative. I've generally backed Davey in the past but even if he gets us out of it this season, it'll be more of the same next and the thought of that depresses me. I've no doubt when the season ticket re-newalls come through the post many others will be thinking do I want to watch that ***** for another season.
