Bournemouth obviously like to play it out from the back, so we stuck six players in their half of the pitch every time their 'keeper had the ball. Or we did when the players remembered what they should be doing. Never seen that done before. And we chased and he we harried, didn't play much good football like, but we haven't got good football players which is why we're down the bottom of the league. And it worked. Midway through the first half the ball lands at Woods' feet 12 yards out with their 'keeper stranded and no one between him and a gaping goal. He put it wide. So we continued to chase and close down and it worked again, ball played to Pedersen on the edge of the area, he blasts over. Half chance or maybe a three quarter chance. In between, Bournemouth are getting chances of their own too, but they're not missing theirs, our 'keeper is doing what he's paid to do and making saves. More hard work, the ball again falls to Pedersen and he does what all good strikers are taught to do: he cuts the corner of the box inviting the challenge and the Bournemouth defender duly obliges, clattering straight through him. Penlaty. But no. A couple of minutes later Dawson is barely touched and goes down outside the box and this time the ref gives it. Sorry Mr referee and Mr Linesman, neither of you are fit for purpose. You bottled it. We continue to press, O'Grady comes away with the ball, shows great pace as he runs half the length of the field, draws the last covering defender leaving Pedersen wide open and O'Grady plays the perfect pass. Pedersen has time to control the ball and it sits up for him perfectly. No half chance this time, it's as good as it gets, if we don't score it's because their 'keeper is going to pull off an outstanding save. Over the bar. The fragile confidence of the players drains out of them. They've followed the game plan to the letter, they've done everything asked of them, they've put it on a plate, twice, but we still don't score. We're all over the place after that really and the result seems inevitable. Did it matter that we lost rather than drew? I doubt it, although you never know. I've heard players booed off before when subbed. I've the seen the reaction of the crowd be far from happy when a player comes on. However, I think that's the first time I've seen one player booed off (Woods) and the other booed on (Mellis). I wouldn't have brought Mellis on either like, but it was still 0-0 at the time, we still had a chance. That can't help. Our corners have been ***** this season (just this season? -ed) so we' tried summat different. The whole point when you have two players out wide taking a corner is that if the opposition put two players out there to cover it then you just bang the cross in. We're one up in the box on numbers by doing that. Maybe Wilson didn't tell them this part of the plan, but ******* hell, they've been playing football long enough to work it out. So we saw the worst corner ever. Jennings to Woods to roll it over the by line. Another of those, like the miss in the first half, where you think to yourself: I'm pretty certain I could do better than that. Jennings, McLaughlin and Steele deserve praise. Steele made some great saves and won the man of the match. He even saved what was eventually the winner, but got no back up to clear it. His kicking was awful like, but I struggle to understand why he saw so much of the ball at his feet, played back to him hard on a wet and greasy surface when we had the ball in their half of the pitch or just inside our own half. Wilson said in his interview it would be a risk playing Ramage. Unfortunately the risk produced another injury. Faced with playing a half fit Ramage or M'Voto I would have probably done the same. Is it over? It felt like it, but Charlton and Millwall both lost while Yeovil drew, so purgatory remains.
Thanks for that report Jay appreciated and if MarioKempes is looking... that's what I am talking about... a proper report without hysterics. Just truth and honesty... again thanks Jay I now await JLWBL's report, which will most likely underline all of that was he there today Jay? apologies if I have confused you Jay ,and JLWBL but I posted in a thread that I do respect yourself and Kev's view as the most accurate and he sent me a STFU... I have asked him why , but he is obviously a cowardly kid who will not back up his keyboard warrior tactics
Completely agree Jay. We missed two sitters and should have got a result. Agree also that Steele, Jennings and McLaughlin were the 3 who put the shift in.
Re: Thanks for that report Jay appreciated As an ex soldier myself I find you a bit childish and quite embarrassing to be quite honest.
Spot on, as usual, Jay. Great and accurate summary; I share your frustration and it's feels so painful being a BFC fan at the moment.
Re: Thanks for that report Jay appreciated Wow, that is like mrx telling some off for running away !!
Re: Thanks for that report Jay appreciated I'm pleased you like my report Dragon, but I don't think it's fair that you linked it with an argument you are having with Mariokempes. I like MarioKempes and think he's a valuable member of this forum. Even if I didn't like him, I don't believe my opinion is any more accurate than his or worth any more (that is true of everyone else who posts on here). We both have opinions, sometimes similar, sometimes different, but our opinions are not accurate, not correct, not right, they're just opinions. If Mariokempes disagrees that my view is more accurate, then he is right. And he is right 100%. I don't believe him to be a coward either, far from it. I may disagree with some of his views, but I have never found him to be anything that could resemble a keyboard warrior.
Re: Thanks for that report Jay appreciated grow up child - I will wait for the drink to kick in , your Saturday night history aint that good.
Re: Thanks for that report Jay appreciated Told you repeatedly that I dont drink, only very rarely do I have a drink, yet it seems you are constantly on about me drinkling? I assume you have me mixed up with someone else. I can be a proper **** at times , but I dont need any drink for that ! Oh and as it was obviously a joke post in the first place, I take it it must have hit a nerve ?
Re: Thanks for that report Jay appreciated And after reading your post back I still haven't a clue what prompted your outburst. What STFU have I sent you?

Re: Thanks for that report Jay appreciated Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't even know I'd done it.
Exactly. No need to talk about it being the worst game ever. We had our finishing and the referee to blame today
