Yeah great. Unfortunately a game is 90 mins and the first 80 count for nothing if you concede two in the last 10. FFS does he think it matters at this stage of the season when all that matters now is points.

We were slightly the better team in the first half... we were by far the better team in the last 10 minutes...we struggled for the 35 minutes in between when we sat back and tried to contain them.... When we were committed to attack.. we looked like the team challenging for promotion..they were scared stiff... :'( :'( :'(

As I said before the best form of defence is attack.... (doh)

It never works defending a draw

We should be at least playing attacking football, as we had done in the first half. Sitting back for a draw never works with us, because we are 99% certain to concede in the last few minutes. Had we needed to defend the draw, why did we not put on two defenders instead of two strikers ????

That's negative Davey for ya. He's too defensively minded and as Kozzy said you can't hold on for 90 minutes if you don't score.

Bringing Hamill on last night as soon as they went 4-3-3 would have given us an edge but by the time he threw him on it was too late. If we had gone 4-5-1 with Hamill & JCR out wide terrorising the defenders earlier we would have run them ragged. They were **** scared of that all night and we didn't do it enough or with much conviction til late on.

I know Hamill has been injured but he is pure class, he's hungry, comitted and IF we stay up I hope we can persuede him & Rafa into another loan next year.

Hopefully, Mr Davey wont be here!

    I'm positive we'll stay up
I'm positive the players we have are far better then those who only just stayed up 2 years ago
I'm positive the manager is to blame
I'm positive that we'll get something at Watford

See Simon, a bit of positivity.......it goes a long way!

Said it a few weeks ago

Davey is playing out the season for 0-0 draws as that will give him the points he feels is required. If a player happens to score in the meantime and we get a 1-0 win then it is a bonus.

Unfortunatly the players seem to know this and it was evident against Forest in the casual way we attacked their goal. Players weren't worried about missing because it didn't matter, a goal was a bonus.

The daft thing about this is that we may be better off in Forest's position

only in that they have to go out to try to win every game. We are in the 'box' seat as we're not currently in the relegation zone. Two wins needed.... set the team up to win all six games and I've no doubt that we'll steamroller the required points out of the remaining fixtures. We might as well do it nowor there's a posibility that we may still need three-six points out of the last two games... and then I think I should be echoing the sentiments of Dragon Tykes.... 'we're doomed Mr Mainwairing'

    You've gone mad

We've got more points than them. Our fate is in our hands - they are relying on us, Norwich slipping up.

did you get what I meant ?

I'm not suggesting that i'd like us to swap places !

The point I'm trying to make is that they have no alternative but to try to win every match, we on the other hand can sit back and try to hold on to the point we have at the start of the game.

    Hehe

In respect of the fact when SD tries 'not to lose' rather than tries to win we inevitably fck it up, I would like us to go out in the last 6 games and have a go at teams - especially at home with 2 attacking wide men. I know that will mean scarificing one of Colace, ADS or Andranik, but there you go.

    I agree...

go for it and we will win games - believe in your players ability to win games Simon. They can actually play now and again...

Strange thing is though, that Swansea will proably make it an open game so we will probably do better as we have done before in that kind of game.

    RE: I agree...

Glad we've done playing the bottom teams cos it'd be a repeat of the Charlton, Blackpool and Forest at home debacles.

If we play teams who want to play football, then we've got a fighting chance.

    Of course we have...

their positivity negates our negativity. If that makes any sense....

But when a team puts men behind the ball, we can't get around the back (ahem) and then we end up huffing and puffing in front of them...
