Yes, we could slip into the trap door or League One this season and some on here are already tipping us for relegation this season. But, what would you rather have?

    • A team that spends a ridiculous amount of money that they don't have and end up folding and never to be heard of again, having to start again at the bottom of the football pyramid.
    • OR be wise. Spend within our means, which admittedly isn't much, and try and stay in the Championship.

So what if we get relegated, i'm still going to support the team, but some people on here really do over react to being beaten by a GOOD side. Keith Hill is the right man for the job, he found some gems last season (Vaz Te, Drinkwater) and I trust him to do the same again next season.

    Ta.

money shouldn't even come into it tbh if we had picked up an average amount of points since the new year we would be well clear,

Although I agree that I don't wanna over spend and loose our club I do think that our form is awful, even a leauge one team ie scunny, by law of averages would have picked up more points since new year!

Are they the only options then? Relegation or folding? What about increasing revenue allowing us to compete? What about being smarter and more ruthless when it comes to selling our players? What about trying to fill our stadium instead of playing to 8000 home fans every week? What about increasing the size of the board so that stupid poor business decisions stop being made? What about changing the closed shop attitude that seems to come from our boardroom?

Having money doesn't make you a good team.
So what if we get relegated??? I can't believe you have said that when we would lose at least four million pounds.
Over react??? It's not just one game is it? We lose on a weekly basis with very little sign of improvement being around the corner.

No, i'm not saying those are the only two options, I'm just merely stating that if we did get relegated it's not the worst thing in the world. I'd prefer to be in our position then Pompeys.

From a financial point of view it is a disaster.

It wouldnt be a disaster to go down. And yes Id still support em of course.
But this is close to the worst run I have ever witnessed, with no signs of belief or optimism coming from the players, management or board. In fact, after stripping almost every asset, cutting every budget to ribbons, the board in their infinite wisdom ignored the many ideas to maximise revenue and increase attendance for our 125th year in existence. They have took the easy option and hit the core support in their pockets, again.
Its like paying 30 quid to get in Alton Towers. Then the next season they remove 5 of the best attractions, the upkeep and customer service gets worse, but they put the admission UP...

Yeah we need a modern board, with fresh ideas, who know how to create more revenue streams in a business in 2012.
