Get behind em for christ's sake God knows what we would be like if the div 4 days came again All I here is moan moan moan whether at Oakwell or here moan at the Mrs and get behind the lads Not the other way round
yes we should be like the dee dars & never moan. Ever listened to radio dee dar moan in. You'll find there isn't one of the 6 local clubs that haven't had callers wanting their manager sacking at some point this season. When we lose people will moan. Get over it.
If we did not get behind the team on every occasion And did not care We would'nt give a **** if they lost, but we do, it hurts. :'( :'( :'(
Can you imagine this forum from 1965 to 1978!!! It would have been truly scary. Appalling football to watch. Appalling pitch. Truly appalling facilitys at Oakwell Jim Iley!! Thank your lucky stars that computers hadn't been invented :'(
GREAT POST MATE PMSL - what about that bloody Marine match eh!!! What abuse Phil Chambers would have had!!! Need for a retro board
What would you get if did not moan, no free coaches, no big screen. You have to moam to make your point !
Marine AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Can you just imagine. 12th in the old 4th division Out of the FA Cup in round 1 Losing 3-1 at home to a Non League team. But at least we had the Social Club!!
You're right ...I'm wrong, I'd just tried to blank it from my memory. And now you've brought back Rhyl memories. Ah well nightmares for me for a week :'( And they call them the good old days
sorry mate, great days i have many fond memories of those lean years, didnt seem to be so much pressure in those days, the early 80's back in div 2 were good as well, time obviously clouds the memory, must be old age
Good memories but not sure I want to go back to them. The best memories of the time for me don't seem to be about the football but all the little things that went with a match. Moving from the Ponty to the bottom corner depending on which way we were kicking. Having a slash under the stand at half time. Climbing over the wall cause I was skint The old fella with the dog sat on the Cop. Games when nobody was in the away end. Football Special trains Being escorted by the Police from the station to the ground at night in the fog in York. "Selwyn Selwyn give us a wave" Theme from Laurel and Hardy when the Coppers marched in. Being terrified when Bradford came to town. Just a few but the years play tricks on the mind
Ah the 70s. Got a load of grief off my sister-in-law. Took my neice and nephew, aged 3 and 5 to a match against Crewe. They got bored after fifteen minutes of shouting "Boo to Crewe", went off to the Kop End, and came back at full time looking as if they'd done a full shift at Barnsley Main.
