Salli looked a good player , shame he got injured. Saw his final appearence for Barnsley. A pre-match fitness test against Forest, I think he left the club a couple of weeks later.
£1.2 mill on transfer fees Plus all those tossers wages. But we couldn' accomodate Hignett.
Aye, alright Mr Dennis..........

mateo corbo, what a guy dont get better than georgi hristov, now they were class times, hardly scored and when he did he went barmy, and then he found out he was offside, we did love the guy though
He had a good game against us once. Most of SPackmans signings were rubbish it has to be said.
Haywood did look OK though before he got injured.

he is georgi now i belive playing for dunfermline i think still http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40771000/jpg/_40771323_georgihristov203i.jpg
RE: Salli looked a good player , shame he got injured. Yeah, he "officially" retired from professional football when he left Barnsley, but he started playing again about two years ago. Salli played a few games for FC Haka (the same club where Barnsley signed him from) and they won the Finnish Premier League that season... He joined Tampere PV in the Finnish Division Two (a semi-amateur league) at the beginning of this season and he's been playing regularly there and they're at the top of the table right now.
RE: Played like he didn't rate himself for us though. Got stuck in and did the simple stuff well. Good player.
I dont know you mate...... but i hope you aren't being sarcastic mate. I thought he was very underrated. Apart from one or two stupid red cards, he broke things up in the middle of the park, and like you say, did the simple things very well.
I once sent Steve Parkin an email saying how much I rated Ward's contribution and he seemed delighted to have received an email about a player who he felt was underrated.

RE: I dont know you mate...... Defended him for ages on here. Too many couldn't see past his 'Blunts' association, but I thought his contribution was top notch.
